Hi, I’m Karen, Founder and Experience Designer of Getaway With Joy—and a passionate traveler who believes the best journeys are about more than simply visiting a destination.
As a busy professional and traveler myself, I understand how valuable your time is. I also know that meaningful travel doesn’t happen by accident. It’s thoughtfully designed around the moments, connections, discoveries, and experiences you want to remember long after you return home.
That’s where I come in.
As an Experience Designer, I create thoughtfully curated travel experiences in two ways: through intimate group journeys designed to bring like-minded travelers together, and through personalized travel experiences created specifically for individuals, couples, families, and friends.
Whether you’re joining one of our hosted Getaway With Joy journeys or looking for an experience designed entirely around you, I take the time to understand how you want to travel, what matters to you, and what you want to experience.
From the destinations and accommodations to the excursions, cultural connections, special celebrations, and meaningful moments in between, I thoughtfully coordinate the details so your journey feels seamless, elevated, and uniquely yours.
